Types of Volunteering

As you will already know from our great volunteering section, there really is no reason not to get involved in volunteering yourself – a boost to your CV, meeting new people, helping the community and gaining great work experience! With a wealth of volunteering opportunities out there it wouldn’t be surprising if you were a bit stuck knowing where to start. So here we have put together a reader friendly list of different types of volunteering opportunities you could get involved in:

Event Volunteering (for example, marathons and charity races)

Developing Country Volunteering (for example, charity work in developing countries in Africa building schools or teaching)

Virtual Volunteering (for example, helping an organisation or charity with their website or monitoring their emails remotely)
