University Open Days

Our events will include an exciting programme of live talks, live chats and Q&A sessions. You’ll get the opportunity to connect with your academic department and explore your course. You’ll find out about the support on offer at York, and we’ll cover a range of topics from applying and finance to careers and student life. Our current students will be on-hand to answer your questions and tell you all about what it’s really like to study and live here. Bookings are now open. Royal Holloway’s on-campus, Visit Experiences offer an informative and personalised introduction to the university. One of our friendly Student Ambassadors will give you a campus tour, with just your household and possibly one other (if legal restrictions allow), and then you will have the opportunity to speak to representatives from academic departments and key support services. The event will last approximately two hours in total.

This event gives you the opportunity to find out how study is enabled on all three of our Contemporary Performance Practice courses via industry placements, specially funded projects (both nationally and internationally) and mentoring from both Central’s permanent staff and vast body of visiting professional lecturers. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions that you have to our lecturers as well as hear from our Student Advice Service. Please note – if you wish to apply for BA (Hons) Acting, this event will not provide you with information on your course of interest and no staff or students will be around to talk to you about this area of study. All students applying for BA (Hons) Acting will be invited to an audition; the audition doubles up as an Open Day. An Open Day is a great way to find out exactly what a university can offer you. You’ll get to chat to the lecturers and current students and find out all about the subjects that interest you. Ongoing measures to tackle COVID-19 mean we can’t hold open days on campus at the moment, but we still want you to experience what it’s like to live and study here at UEA.

That’s why we’ve launched our first ever Virtual Open Day, which you can attend at any time without leaving the comfort of your home. We can’t wait to welcome you and show you around. Here is just a glimpse of what you can expect:

• You’ll receive a warm welcome from both our students and Vice Chancellor before working your way through our recommended programme at your leisure.
• You’ll also have access to in depth talks about the subjects you’re interested in studying
• You can take a virtual tour of our diverse and beautiful campus, immersing yourself in campus life through many of our key landmarks and hotspots for yourself
• You’ll be able to explore 360 degree footage of our campus accommodation, teaching facilities, library and more
• You will even have the chance to discover Norwich, the city we are proud to call home – through exploring some of our students’ favourite unique spots.

We’re still hoping to offer you a bespoke on-campus experience in the future, and we will provide an update on this as soon as we can. However, if things don’t quite go to plan by July, we will still be able to offer our Digital Open Day – an interactive experience that you can enjoy from the comfort of home, with live streams, course talks, Q&As, and the chance to hear first-hand from tutors and current students.

This Open Event is for students looking to start university in September 2022. You will have the opportunity to find out more about your course for example modules, assessments, teaching, trips and entry requirements. Additionally, you will be guided around our campus using our virtual tour and you will be able to ask some of our current students any questions you might have about Student Life.

The thought of starting university can be quite daunting so our open days are run to help you understand what the courses involve, what to expect from them and how they can help you get the career you want. If you want to get a better sense of what studying with us might be like, either full-time or part-time, our open days are a good place to start. During the day, you will have the opportunity to: – find out more about the courses that we offer – speak to members of academic and support staff – hear from our current students on their experiences at the University – view the facilities at our West London Campus.

We currently have 2 Open Day Events open for booking at Newman University.  We have a Virtual Open Day Event taking place in July and one live on campus event taking place in July.

You will still get to explore our green campus, sports facilities, industry-standard studios, on-campus accommodation and social spaces from the safety of your own home with our virtual tour.

Our Open Days are a chance for you to explore Plymouth and the college, and to get a feel of what life’s like at an independent art school in Britain’s Ocean City. You can experience our state-of-the-art studios and workshops, explore our campus, talk to our programme leaders, visit the accommodation on offer and talk through any questions or queries you might have with our knowledgeable staff. We’ll have representatives from Student Finance, Admissions, Student Support and the Students’ Union on hand throughout your visit.

For our on campus event you can book your chat with any of our academic/course tutors – these chats will be limited to 20 minutes and a maximum of 2 people (you can book more than 1 subject), you can also book your campus tour and chats with our support services, Finance, Admissions and Accommodation.
