Rotherham College of Arts and Technology is the largest further education college in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The college offers many vocational courses, with the total number of all courses available at over 4,000. The college covers two campuses: one in Rotherham and the other in Dinnington, which is situated halfway between Rotherham and Sheffield. The college's roots can be traced back to 1853, when Rotherham's first School of Science and Art was set up. The college got its current name when Rotherham College of Technology merged with Rotherham College of Arts and Community Studies in 1981. In 2004, they merged with Rother Valley College in Dinnington.
