Pembrokeshire College is the county's largest post-16 provider of further education with a main campus in Haverford west and around 40 outreach centres across the county. It enrols around 8,500 students a year and recently upgraded its services with a £4 million Construction Centre and £3.5 million Engineering Wing.

 

Background and history

The college recently updated its campuses with a regeneration scheme that saw the building of a £4m Construction Centre, plus a £3.5m Engineering Wing. The college holds a reputation for its Engineering and Construction departments with both awarded an 'Outstanding' Grade 1 from Estyn in 2007.

 

Location and accessibility

The college is served by the 35 bus, with nearby train and national coach services linking the county with Wales and England.For international students, Cardiff is the nearest airport, with regular bus and train links to Haverford west.

 

What's on offer?

The college has over 40 learning centres throughout the county and thus has a significant outreach. Studies ranging from entry level to honours degrees are available at the college, with HE provided by a partnership with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.There are 33 A/AS-levels on offer, plus 17 BTEC courses equivalent to 3 A-levels.
