The University of Chester is a charming campus university, situated in one of the UK's most popular tourist cities. Apart from the excellent on-site facilities, students enjoy easy access to quaint cafes and welcoming bars, many of which serve local brews. Chester has excellent road and rail links with the nearby cities of Liverpool and Manchester.

Background and History

Chester was founded way back in 1839 by a group of highly esteemed figures, including William Gladstone and the Earl of Derby. Since then, it has gradually expanded to include an outstanding range of courses. It now has a solid reputation and plans to develop further in the future.

Location and Accessibility

By rail: London based students can make their way to Chester using the high speed train service. There are also established links from Birmingham and Manchester. The journey from the North East to the the North West of England is particularly scenic.

By road: Located within a short drive of the M53, the campus is reasonably close to the city centre and is signposted from Northgate Street (A540). There are a variety of parking options available for visitors.

Entry Requirements
