Norwich College of Further and Higher Education, also known as City College Norwich, is a college of further and higher education which is located England. It caters to over 11,000 students studying a wide range of academic, vocational and professional courses, from entry level to HE.

 

Background and history

City College Norwich was founded in 1891 and has been in its current location since 1953, with the first structure on the new campus being the Norwich Building. It has expanded over the decades and opened St. Andrews House in 2007.

Location and accessibility

The main campus is situated on the A1056 (Ipswich Road) while the St. Andrews Financial Skills building is located in the city centre. Both campuses benefit from good infrastructure links, with regular bus services, as well as Norwich train station found nearby.

Discounted bus passes are available for students, plus there are several park & ride services within reach of the campuses.

Parking on campus is priced at £3 a day, while cycling facilities are also located on-site.

 

What's on offer?

In addition to the wide range of vocational, academic and professional courses on offer, the college currently runs five National Skills academies for gifted students.

A third of all 16-18 year olds in Norwich attend the college, while there are also well-attended Higher Education programmes ran in conjunction with the University of Norwich.
