Leeds College of Art is a specialist arts further and higher education institution, based in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire. It has its main campus opposite the University of Leeds on Blenheim Walk, thus it is well placed to enjoy the feel of the Leeds Student scene.
General Information
Over the last 160 years, Leeds College of Art has contributed significantly to the development of art education in Britain, having pioneered new ways to teach and to structure qualifications. In 1960, the college began to run courses which encouraged an open-ended, creative and flexible approach, leading to a new system of art education at Leeds and, subsequently, nationwide. In the mid-1980s the Blenheim Walk building was erected and new construction and development continues to this day for the benefit of all our students.
