Your UCAS personal statement is the one chance you have to write persuasively about yourself and display your talents and interests to the admissions tutor for the course you are applying for. There is a basic structure to be aware of. You need to tell the admissions tutor why you want to study this subject, what you know about it and the course you have chosen, what your qualities are and what experiences you have had (such as work experience, courses and such like) which might help you to succeed. You should indicate how the degree you want to gain fits into your plans for a career.
