Open Days

The University of Cambridge’s Open Days are aimed at prospective applicants from Year 12 (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with their parents or supporters, to help them learn more about the University. For our July 2022 Open Days, we’re planning a hybrid approach with both in-person and virtual elements. Further details will be announced in due course. Throughout the Open Days, you can find out all about the University and Colleges by viewing presentations about our courses, the Colleges and departments, University facilities, the application process, student life, and finance. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask our current staff and students any questions. Both of the in-person days will have a similar programme. The format for the Open Days means you should only need to attend one of the in-person days. Please get in touch if you feel you have exceptional circumstances which mean you need to attend both in-person days.

This event is ideal for all those thinking about their next steps, whether that is options beyond Year 11 (post-16), progression into university and for adults thinking about a career-changing qualification.

Meet with our specialist lecturers, tour the facilities and have all your questions answered. We will divide you into your subject area of interest on arrival, so please specify that when booking either the morning or afternoon session. Visit our course catalogue for a full list of courses offered at our Barony campus.

During the day you can: Gain an insight into your subject area; View course-specific facilities and resources; Meet teaching staff and current students; Visit the student accommodation; Get a feel for student life at Bangor; Attend presentations on topics such as student life and finance; Familiarise yourself with the University buildings and Bangor itself.

Our open day will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm. As well as attending the course talk, you will be able to tour our facilities and visit our accommodation. Our tutors, student ambassadors and support staff will also be available to answer any questions. The open day takes place during our undergraduate end of year show, giving you the opportunity to see work from our final year students. Please book your place on the 11:00am or 1:00pm course talk.

Open Events are your opportunity to learn more about college life and help you to make your final decision about where and what to study. It’s your chance to chat tutors, get course advice and find out about financial support. We’ll be on hand to talk to you about our wide range of courses, as well as offer you some top tips for finding your perfect career. Once you’ve made up your mind, you’ll be able to apply for the course of your choice! Our Postgraduate Open Evenings provide you the perfect opportunity to learn more about our postgraduate taught degrees and discover all the benefits of studying at City, University of London.

Whether you are a proactive Year 10 starting your research early, a Year 11 student leaving school this year, or an adult looking to retrain or start a higher education course, open evenings are a great way to get all the information you need to make the decision that’s right for you. We’re opening our doors to showcase the College to prospective students of all ages. The evening is a great opportunity to get a feel for our Taunton campus and see the excellent facilities and teaching resources first-hand. There is a wide range of courses available at our Taunton campus, from the International Baccalaureate to the T Levels and degree courses at University Centre Somerset.

The evening offers you the opportunity to take a guided campus tour, meet academics and speak to student services and admissions face-to-face. For those of you who can’t join us on campus, we will be providing a virtual event platform where you will have access to pre-recorded course presentations and the opportunity to ask your questions via online chat.

Our Open Evening at Taunton Campus is on Wednesday 8 June 2022. Please ensure that you register for this event before you arrive – complete the form by clicking on the ‘Register’ button above! There are two arrival slots for you to choose from; 6pm or 7pm. Please Note: Only the person wishing to study with us needs to register. Accompanying guests do not. Either print or show your ticket on your phone on the night for fast track entry to our Open Event. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL!
