By Rail: The main UCLan campus is a five-minute walk from Preston train station. Exit the station at Guild Way, then cross the road to Corporation Street. From there the university is ahead on the right.
By Road: Preston is easily accessible from the M6, follow signs for the city centre.
Accessibility: Most university facilities are wheelchair-accessible and accommodation is provided for students with disabilities.
Undergraduate courses currently cost £9,000 per year. Fees for international students and postgraduates vary.
Financial Support: A variety of scholarships and means-tested bursaries are available to undergraduates and postgraduates. Check the university website for more details.
The university's health centre is located off Kirkham Street. Consultation with a doctor is available by appointment and nurses run a daily drop-in service. The university also provides a multi-faith worship centre.
European City of Sport in 2012, Preston provides a vibrant environment for students. In the city centre are a diverse range of shops, restaurants, bars and clubs, while theatre-goers flock to the Guild Hall and Charter Theatres. Liverpool and Sheffield are also close enough for day trips, if a study-escape is on the cards.
The university runs a comprehensive careers service, offering CV advice and help for students seeking work experience. An appointment service is also available for students to raise concerns about future or ongoing employment.
