Sussex Downs College

Sussex Downs College (SDC) was established in 2001 by the merger of Eastbourne College of Arts and Technology and Lewes Tertiary College. A second merger with Park College in 2003 made it the largest College in Sussex and one of the most significant colleges in the South East. SDC now has approximately 5,000 mostly full-time students under the age of 19 and around 10,000 adult learners. The College has 1200 staff. SDC has been awarded Artsmark Gold for its creative and performance arts education, by Arts Council England. It is one of just fifteen colleges across the country that has achieved the Gold award.

The centres have a wide selection of books, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, magazines and electronic journals and databases to support your research needs. The centres hold more than 48,000 books, more than 150 journal titles, more than 3000 e-books, access to 15 electronic databases and provide access to more than 200 computers. The centres also offer stationery for sale, access to binding and laminating facilities, photocopiers and printing.
