Stratford-upon-Avon College, a FE and HE college in the West Midlands, is just a ten minute walk from the centre of the world famous Stratford-upon-Avon. Situated on one campus, the College attracts many students from the UK and abroad.
The college has an established reputation as a centre of excellence in the Creative and Performing Arts. Inspected by Ofsted in 2007, the College was awarded a grade one for its outstanding provision in Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Media. For many years students have progressed from the College into careers in the Creative and Cultural industries and have made a significant impact in the sector, both nationally and internationally. The College has many formal and informal associations with individuals and businesses working in the Creative and Cultural industries.
Stratford-upon-Avon College has a close working relationship with The Royal Shakespeare Company.
If you want to spend some quiet time studying or working on your own, there are plenty of places on campus for you to go.
The IT centre is open late most evenings and you can use the computers at any time.The library has up-to-date magazines, daily newspapers, videos, DVDs, wireless internet access and a wealth of books and reference materials to support you on your course.
The College has an outstanding reputation as a centre for drama, theatre, music and dance. The facilities are among the best in the country. A suite of rehearsal and dance studios and a studio theatre form part of the extensive performing arts spaces.
The media facilities at the College are industry standard. They include a digital television studio, digital radio studio, digital audio and visual editing suites, mobile visual edit suite, digital stills editing suite and photography darkroom. These facilities can be accessed until 9:00pm, Monday to Thursday.
The New Theatre at the College now has a multi-camera, digital television and digital recording system which can be used to record shows to a very high standard. It can also be used as a live audience television studio.
