Southport College is a successful, modern Further Education college located in Merseyside providing a diverse programme of education and training to over 3,500 students. The College has a well established reputation for high standards, excellent facilities and outstanding support for students offering a range of courses to students from Southport and the surrounding area.
The main site in Southport has state-of-the-art facilities, specially designed for each of the subject areas they deliver. With fully equipped studios for courses like photography, design and media, a care equipment room, engineering and motor vehicle workshops and excellent suites for our IT courses.
College Refectory and Bistro - The College completed the build of a brand new refectory costing £1.6million which was named The Oasis' in 2009. Located on the ground floor, The Oasis is the main eating place where you can buy healthier meals such as fresh salads, sandwiches and pasta as well as quick takeaway food. You will also find a range of vending machines in The Oasis for snacks and drinks.
The Bistro is a small eatery located on the first floor and is run by students studying Hospitality Catering. The Bistro is normally open from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm and you can buy hot, wholesome meals, breakfasts and tasty baguettes.
Sports Centre - Southport College has a state of the art Sports Centre, complete with fitness suite, sports hall and dance studio. Southport College sports teams such as football and basketball practice and play in the sports hall and the facilities are also used by local clubs for practice and matches. Free gym membership is just one of the benefits of being a Southport College student, giving you the opportunity to take advantage of the exercise equipment as well as the knowledge of the Gym Facilitator, who can help introduce you to exercise or develop a new, challenging fitness programme.
