The University of South Wales is the 6th largest university in the UK and the biggest in Wales. It is the destination for over 33,500 students from 122 countries and it was established in 2013 by the merger of the University of Wales, Newport and the University of Glamorgan. The University of South Wales has 4 faculties: The Faculty of Business and Society, the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, the Faculty of Creative Industries and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education.
The University offers full-time and part-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as further education options. The University of South Wales works closely with key employers such as British Airways, General Electric, Sony and local authorities and the BBC.
The University of South Wales has 5 campuses at: Treforest(indoor sports centre, students' union),Glyntaff (nursing, science and sports courses), Cardiff, Newport and Caerleon where a wide variety of undergraduate courses take place.
The University also has a film school with animation facilities, broadcasting studios, a photography school and the national music and drama conservatoire.
