South Cheshire College is a further education college, located in Crewe, England. The College is a single campus situated in a residential area about one mile from Crewe town centre. The College is the sole provider of post-16 education in Crewe. It also attracts students from Nantwich, Alsager, Middlewich, Sandbach, Congleton and throughout South and East Cheshire. Facilities at South Cheshire College
£74 Million has been invested in the new campus at South Cheshire College, to provide one of the finest further education buildings in the country, equipped with state-of-the art technology and modern learning facilities.
In addition to workshops and classrooms that provide a fantastic environment for teaching and learning, the College also includes a number of commercial facilities for the community, which themselves act as a genuine workplace environment in which students can learn skills for employment.
The College has an extensive range of facilities and offers a range of services to students, and to local residents and schools - Including: Restaurant on the Crescent, Centre Stage Theatre, The Fitness Academy, Starting Point Nursery, Elements Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies Salons, Dane Bank Travel Centre.
Creative Media - South Cheshire College has the media facilities to train up future film directors and studio technicians, radio DJs and TV presenters. The state-of-the-art facilities include a fully equipped TV studio with BBC standard HD recording facilities, professional radio recording studios and editing suites.
Cafes and Shop - There are four different cafes around the campus: The Crescent Cafe where you can try stir fry dishes, omelettes and fresh fish made to order, The Salad Bar which offers healthy salads, fresh fruit, sandwiches and delicious paninis, The Terrace which provides healthy options such as jacket potatoes, freshly made soups, yoghurts and smoothies and The Reading Lounge offering fair-trade coffees and teas, sandwiches made to order and fine pastries. The college shop is well stocked with everyday essentials such as newspapers, snacks and stationary.
