Moulton College is an educational establishment with a main campus in the village of Moulton in Northamptonshire. Although initially established as the Northamptonshire Institute of Agriculture in 1921, it now has expanded its teaching curriculum to cover a wide range of land-based subjects, sports, and construction. Moulton College operates a number of satellite campuses in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire, including ones in Daventry, Silverstone, Higham Ferrers and Peterborough.
The Animal Therapy Centre has grooming, hydrotherapy and aquatic treadmill facilities all under one roof and is the first of its kind in the country. It is also the only hydrotherapy centre in Northamptonshire which has an aquatic treadmill. There are modern, purpose built kennel facilities which have an indoor area that provides warmth in winter and a cool retreat in summer, and a large outside area for dogs to stretch their legs. There are also heated indoor kennel facilities for cats and small mammals.
The established facilities at the Equestrian Centre include a 60 x 40-metre covered riding area with spectator seating, clothing shop, judges' area and stabling for 60 horses. The centre is approved by the British Horse Society as a training and examination centre and also has two outdoor arenas (one 60 x 25 metres and one 40 x 20 metres), a cross-country course and a schooling field for novice horses and riders that contains pre-novice and novice fences and exercise paddocks. A variety of hacking routes can be found throughout the college estate.
The garden centre is used to support the training of students on horticulture, floristry, animal welfare and general education programmes, and is open to the public seven days a week throughout the year. Located at the Holcot Centre, it utilises state-of-the-art technology to maintain and sell stock, including a range of plants (house plants, annuals, alpines, perennials, roses and shrubs), seeds, bulbs, seasonal plants, plant food, gardening tools and a range of other relevant items.
