Mid-Cheshire College

Mid Cheshire College is a further education college with two centres located in Hartford and Winsford. It can realistically claim to be one of the most successful colleges in the country with OFSTED judging the College to be an "Outstanding" institution in their last major inspection. Mid Cheshire College is one of only a handful of general FE colleges to achieve Grades 1s across the board at inspection.

The college offers a wide variety of academic and vocational courses including BTEC National Diplomas, BTEC First Diplomas and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ). The full list of courses can be accessed via the college's website, the following is a selection of subjects on offer:

Teaching Learning -the College has excellent facilities for teaching and learning, with well-equipped learning environments in vocational areas such as Beauty Therapy, Engineering, Art Design, Motor Vehicle, Construction and Catering. IT facilities are excellent with very high ratios of computers to students.

Sport and Recreation- the College has well resourced Rec Zones' at each campus which are the hub of student out-of-class activity. Each is equipped with pool and video music entertainment. Lunchtime recreation activities are also available at Hartford and Winsford. Students have free access to College Fitness Centres Monday to Friday lunchtimes at Hartford and Monday to Wednesday at Winsford.

Sports Hall - the new state of the art sports facilities boasts a four-court sports hall and fitness suite. There's fully accessible changing and toilet accommodation, a first floor sports hall viewing area,washing/drying room, secure locker provision (30 units) and refreshment vending machines.

Library Services - the College libraries and the Learning Zone are helpful places to study outside normal class times. There are books and other resources to support your course and help you get the best marks.
