Kendal College

Kendal College is a Further Education institute in Kendal, Cumbria, which was awarded an 'Outstanding' rating by Ofsted in 2011. The College offers further and higher education options as well as apprenticeships to over 4,000 students at its two campuses: the main site on Milnthorpe Road and the Arts and Media Campus (North end of Kendal). Kendal College has received important awards such as 'Beacon Status' for excellence and innovation, the 'Matrix award' for Advice and Guidance, the IQER confidence rating and the 'Training Quality Standard' (TQS).

The College offers full-time and part-time courses, apprenticeships and traineeships. A full-time course will consist of two to four days per week attendance with work placements or practical workshops. Apprenticeships require only one day per week attendance.

Kendal College has invested over £24 million on capital, equipment and new buildings at its two campuses. It now has state-of-the-art facilities such as The Learning Centre, which is the information hub of the college with modern and traditional learning resources, The University Centre, which is equipped with PCs for the VLEs (virtual learning environments), WiFi networks, study booths and a library.

The college also has a restaurant and cafes, which aim to encourage healthy eating through their delicious and healthy menus.
