Herefordshire College of Technology merged in 2007 with Holme Lacy College to form the Herefordshire and Ludlow College. The newly formed institution is a college of Further Education in Hereford, Herefordshire with a separate Sixth Form College campus in Ludlow, Shropshire. The college has over 1,450 full-time (16 to 18-year-old) students and 5,000 adults mainly part-time. Herefordshire and Ludlow College is funded by the Learning Skills Council, the Government Office for the West Midlands, Advantage West Midlands and Herefordshire Council.

Herefordshire and Ludlow College has three campuses in Hereford, Holme Lacy and Ludlow. The Hereford campus is just east of the city centre, close to the train station and central bus terminal, while the Ludlow campus is located at the western edge of the village of Holme Lacy.
The college has undergone a £32M campus development. Each campus has important facilities such as The LRC, Business Technology Centre at the Hereford campus and the pound farm, where students can learn agriculture, forestry arboriculture and outdoor education at the Holme Lacy Estate.
Other facilities include the Cider Orchard Restaurant, the Rural Crafts Centre, the Equestrian Centre and the HLC nursery.
