About Furness College
Furness College is a further education institution and the largest provider of training and education in South Cumbria. Over 4,250 students can choose from a wide range of vocational courses and training, evening classes, apprenticeships (at the shipyard in Barrow) and HNDs in association with the University of Central Lancashire.
The college offers full-time and part-time courses such as business development for the local business community, courses for school leavers, 700 apprenticeships and university education from foundation degrees to full degrees.

Furness College has a new £43 million new campus in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria with world-class facilities such as new learning suites with the latest technology and the first dedicated centre for higher education in Barrow.
The site also has a virtual nursery with virtual babies supporting the early years and education curriculum, and a clinical suite where nurses, social care and health students can get a realistic experience of a hospital ward.
