The Isle of Wight College

Isle of Wight College is a general Further Education college located on the outskirts of Newport, the county town of the Isle of Wight. The college is well known for operating a broad curriculum to reflect the needs of the community, and for offering training and further education to over 8,000 learners.

Students attending the Isle of Wight College can get help from the Army Bursary Scheme. This gives them £1,000 on completion of Level 2 or Level 3 college courses, plus another £1,000 on completion of initial army training. Other financial means are also available for British citizens who are 16 to 19 years-old.

If there is something that separates Isle of Wight college from others, it is the marine training courses available. Students can choose from courses such as: boat construction, boat maintenance and marine industry leadership.
