Address and Location
Middlesex University (MU) is located in Hendon, North London, having previously been spread across a number of sites in the city. The university also has several partner campuses across the globe.
ÂBackground and History
Although various parts of MU can trace their origins back to the late nineteenth century, the history of the institution as it now exists began in 1973, with the formation of Middlesex Polytechnic. The polytechnic became a university in 1992, expanding to three campuses and then consolidating all of its teaching facilities at the current Hendon site.
Location and Accessibility
By Rail: The university campus is easily accessed via the Tube, with Hendon Central the closest station. National Rail services connect to Hendon Station, a ten-minute walk away.
By Road: Driving to the university is easier at MU than other universities in the capital. The Hendon campus is accessible from Junction 1 of the M1.
Accessibility: Most university facilities are wheelchair-accessible and accommodation is provided for students with disabilities.
