Background and History

Richmond is a unique institution, based in the UK but awarding American degree qualifications recognised by the Open University. 2012 marked the American University's 40th anniversary.

Location and Accessibility

Richmond Campus

By Road: From the A316, join Manor Road. This later becomes Queens Road. Follow Queens Road until you reach the entrance of Richmond University on the right hand side, opposite the "Lass O' Richmond Hill Pub.

By Rail: The Richmond campus is closest to Richmond Tube station. From the station, take a bus bound for Kingston.

Kensington Campus

By Car: From Kensington High Street, turn into Victoria Road and then take the third right onto St. Albans Grove. Atlantic House is on the right.

By Rail: Atlantic House and the university's other Kensington facilities are closest to Kensington High Street Tube station.

Accessibility: Most university facilities are wheelchair-accessible and accommodation is provided for students with disabilities.

Richmond offers a broad variety of arts, humanities and science subjects at undergraduate level.

Entry Requirements

Every undergraduate student will first enter the Liberal Arts programme before specialising in their major. Because of this, the entry requirements for all undergraduate programmes at Richmond are the same regardless of the major chosen by the student later in their course. Typical minimum offers are BBC at A-Level or a US High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
