Manchester Metropolitan University's (MMU) main campus, All Saints, is located in Manchester city centre. There are three further campuses just outside the city - Elizabeth Gaskell, Hollings and Didsbury which are all linked by excellent bus services from the city centre. There are also two campuses in Cheshire Crewe and Alsager.

Background and History

In its current form, MMU's most concrete formation date is 1970, when Manchester Polytechnic was founded. It was granted university status in 1992 and renamed Manchester Metropolitan University. However, the University's roots go back as far as 1824.
